mk-configure software package provides lightweight replacement for GNU autotools, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mk-configure
mk-configure is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mk-configure package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mk-configure *
You will get with mk-configure package name, version, architecture and description in a table
